• Dick Bixby - The Pursuit of Imperceptibility: Crypto

    Dick Bixby's creations are impressive for their dramatic scale and their bold and abstract subjects.  Bixby’s career stretches from the     1960s with work in many media and his output is still prolific today. He participated in the Open Book Show at the Victoria and Albert Museum 1977 and has spent much of his career outside the UK.  His works have been acquired for the collections of the Arts Council, the British Council, Switzerland’s National Museum in Geneva and the National Museum of Israel in Jerusalem, among many others. Since his return to the UK,  Bixby has continued his work with curiosity, passion and an intense painterly skill.


    Normal Abbey entry fees apply.  Free entry to the Abbey and all exhibitions for one year when you buy a season ticket or join Friends of Torre Abbey.
