• Sleuths - Meet Michael Jecks and Bernard Knight

    Part of the English Riviera Sleuths - Festival of Crime Writing.  Enjoy a guided tour of Torre Abbey and a talk in the Spanish Barn by two of the UKs most popular crime writers and both founder members of 'The Medieval Murderers' a entertaining and collaborative group of historical writers.

    Michael Jecks, the master of medieval murder mystery, is a three-times winner of the Crime Writers Association's coveted Silver Dagger Award. He describes how, after a visit to Fursdon House in Devon, he was inspired to change career and write the first of his successful novels 'The Last Templar'.  He now lives in Devon.

    Professor Bernard Knight CBE was a Home Office pathologist and a Professor of Forensic Science but was first published in 1963.  He has written about 30 books and has also written scripts for radio and television dramas.
