Exhibiting Human Remains: A Discussion of Ethics

As part of the current Lenkiewicz exhibition, Death and the Maiden, at Torre Abbey, residents and visitors are being invited to discuss the ethics of exhibiting human remains.
Well respected professional speakers will be attending the debate on Thursday 29 September. The panel includes John Jackson, Science Policy Co-ordinator at the Natural History Museum; Dr Louise Loe, Head of Heritage Burial Services, Oxford Archaeology; Anna Navas, Trustee, The Lenkiewicz Foundation; and Felicia Smith, Public Engagement Manager, Arnos Vale Cemetery.
Day delegates can attend on 29 September, 10am-4pm. Cost to attend is £30 which includes refreshments and lunch. Bookings for the one day event should be made through Torre Abbey via jane.palmer@torbay.gov.uk or 01803 208507.
