Thursday’s from 18 July – 5 September 10am to 11am | 8-week course
Free to attend but must be pre-booked.
Fancy trying an accessible and fun way of getting fit out in the open air? Why not come along to our 8-week course of fitness circuits in the gardens at Torre Abbey. Perfect for grandparents with young grandchildren or indeed families in general. After all, how often do you get the chance to work out together - and in such stunning surroundings!
This project targets male and female individuals in the local area who may not have had the opportunity or are uncertain about joining in with high intensity training but would like to try it out. It will also target grandparents with young grandchildren (providing childcare) over the summer holidays as these kind of activities are also perfect for children.
We request that you sign up to all of the 8 weeks (minimum of 6), however if you are unable to make a week please just let us know beforehand.
Torbay CAN (Connecting Actively to Nature)
The CAN programme aims to help people discover the combined benefits of a more active lifestyle, with the psychological benefits that being outdoors in nature brings.
Starting this summer at Torre Abbey we are running a series of free to attend short courses to specifically help the over 55’s with getting outdoors, trying something new and meeting new people.
Although aimed at over 55’s (where suitable) we encourage them to bring their younger family members along too.
All sessions are part of the Torbay Connecting to Nature Programme funded by Active Devon.
