Learning Officer

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our busy team here at Torre Abbey! Deadline 20th May.

Torre Abbey is looking for a skilled Education Officer to join the team at our thriving museum. You will assist with the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the cultural education and skills programme, working with the wider team, creative organisations and other professionals.

You will develop a learning strategy to engage the public in line with the ethos of Torre Abbey in liaison with the Exhibitions and Programmes Officer and link this to seasonal programmes, visitor numbers and income targets.

You will use educational projects and activities to develop audiences and encourage participation from under-represented groups. You will contribute to exhibition programmes and other support activities to develop informal learning experiences for all sections of the community. Salary: £23,166/Year - £25,694/Year Pro-rata

Artist Assistant wanted!

This Summer we are following in the footsteps of The Science Museum, London and The Corey Helford Gallery, Los Angeles to host Gile’s Walkers stunning robotic performance piece, The Last Supper.

We are looking for somebody with a basic grounding in electronics, computers or kinetic sculptures and with an interest in all things creative to work with Giles to ensure the smooth running of this installation.

What do you need to know?

  • You will need to be available from 9 – 14 June (not necessarily full time) and then happy to be on call until 31 August
  • There is a £1000 honoriarum available for the right candidate/s
