The Mossy Carpet

An enchanting outdoor performance & workshop for children ages 4+ and their families.

This magical, family event includes a 30 minute show followed by a wonderful 1 hour workshop, teaching your children the importance of our environment whilst also having a delightful time. It’s a win win! It’s aim is to teach children the importance of nature and more specifically; moss.

Step into the magical world of The Mossy Carpet, where a curious boy named Jay and his wise Grandma journey through an enchanted garden, meeting minuscule creatures and taking on the mighty Carbon Giant. Together, they discover how small actions can protect a delicate ecosystem, and how everyone has a part to play in caring for our planet.

This imaginative, eco-themed show is a joyful, sensory experience combining storytelling, dance and nature, specially created for children aged 4 and up.

Access to Torre Abbey, including its historic grounds and gardens

Event duration: 1hr 30 minutes (30 min performance into 1 hr workshop with breaks built in)

Location: Torre Abbey Learning Lab & Gardens

There will be 3 performances for you to enjoy throughout the day, they will be at: 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
