Crown's fit for a King

South West Mosaic Artist - Crown Exhibition

Torre Abbey are hosting the South West Mosaic Artist Crowns, a group exhibition to celebrate the King's Coronation.

Fifteen mosaic artists have created artwork in response to this special event for our country. The exhibition will run from 3 May to 31 July 2023.

South West Mosaic Artists aim to hold a group exhibition each year. Their first annual exhibition was held in the Kitchen Gallery at Cockington Court during 2020 and involved twenty mosaic artists. In 2021 their exhibtion was held at the Sou' Sou' West Gallery at Symondsbury, near Bridport in Dorset, with a pop-up exhibition installed at at Toast Coffee House in Okehampton from 27 September 2021 through to 8 January 2022.

Last year the groups annual exhibition was hosted again in the Kitchen Gallery at Cockington Court during June and July 2022, whilst a display of miniature mosaics created by the group was exhibited at Powderham Castle in September 2022.

Now in 2023 Torre Abbey are delighted to be holding a group exhibition to celebrate the King's Coronation with a collection of newly created mosaic crowns.
