Guided Tours on Thursdays
From Canons to Carys, join us on a fascinating guided tour and discover Torre Abbey's remarkable 800-year story.
Guided tours take place every Thursday at 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm and are included with Abbey admission. Led by our dedicated and knowledgeable house guide, John Melsher, these tours offer a deeper insight into the people, events and stories that have shaped Torre Abbey over eight centuries.
Discover the Abbey's origins as a medieval monastery, explore the influence of the Cary family, learn about the artists connected to the Abbey, and uncover the rich history behind one of Devon's most historic landmarks.
The tour traces Torre Abbey's journey from its early foundation through its years as a family estate to the gallery and museum visitors enjoy today.
As the tour is included with your admission ticket, you're welcome to explore the Abbey at your own pace before joining one of the guided tours throughout the day.
